So some time ago, I painted Constance Blaize and played a few games with her.I'm fairly proud of this paint job.
So thinking out loud, I cobbled the following list together:
Faction: Cygnar
Casters: 1/1
Points: 50/50
Constance Blaize, Knights of the Prophet (*6pts)
* Gallant (9pts)
* Stormwall (19pts)
* Sylys Wyshnalyrr, the Seeker (2pts)
Field Mechaniks (Leader and 3 Grunts) (2pts)
Precursor Knights (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
* Precursor Knight Officer & Standard (2pts)
Sword Knights (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Sword Knight Officer & Standard (2pts)
Archduke Alain Runewood (3pts)
Journeyman Warcaster (3pts)
Fairly straightforward, right? I have melee and shooting elements in one list to prevent getting pwnd by eHaley feats and whatnot. I have some durability for the fire magnet through Field Mechanics and Arcane Shield.
The whole point of this list is to deliver, not the Stormwall, but Sword Knights flanking off Reach on a huge base. Plus, Blaize has Crusader's Call.
Whooooooo.
What do you think? Thumbs up? Thumbs down?
Don't know about the game, but I love her and the Gallant and the Morrow knights. Very solid look to them. Great paint job btw.
ReplyDeleteThe big thing that I see here is that Constance doesn't do anything for the Stormwall, so that's the first place my head went. That said, you still have Jr in there to make the Stormwall ridiculous so there is that. I think having it helping out the Sword Knights might work out, but it might also slow their advance up the table since they'll get Crusader's Call and the Stormwall is generally stuck at SPD 5 no matter what Constance tries to do. I'd be curious to see how it goes. I'd also be curious to see someone paint up a Stormwall in Morrowan-theme like the studio art for Gallant
ReplyDeleteCrusader's Call affects all friendly faction models ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Constance myself and the first thing I thought of when I picked up the SW was to put it in her list.
ReplyDeleteIn response to Chad; the one thing i think people miss is Banishing Ward. She cant do much to improve the SW's offence, but making it immune to spells is a pretty big deal. Covering fire templates and Sword Knights do some scary scary things to your opponents infantry. =)
I'm also in the middle of doing it up in the Morrow mint-green look. I replaced the shoulder Cygnis's(spelling?) with PK shields and am planning on doing the White trim in a marble effect. Keep an eye on my Deviantart page for when I finally get it posted. (ninjaspank(dot)deviantart(dot)com)
Nice to see I'm not the only one with this thought Felix!
Haha, I figure everyone is thinking up colossals with everybody.
ReplyDeleteBut I do like this idea.
I'm not a modder, so my Sword Knights have none of the cool swaps going on, but they will have my Precursor Knight paint scheme.
