Battle: Grissel Bloodsong Marshal of the Kriels vs. Lylyth, Herald of Everblight, 50 points

After practicing my 50 point Blockade Runners list against Dave Eichler's Constance Blaize, Marlon Marcial stepped up with 50 points of Lylyth:

I'm far too lazy to cut and paste my army list from the previous battle, however, I can safely say that this list probably isn't too much different from its original configuration. At least it isn't too much different until I can put the Sons of Bragg into it!




Dash makes troll infantry even faster. Grissel Far Strikes herself and fires off a Crescendo that remains in play on the table. Then she casts Dash and her Kriel Warriors Swift foot themselves to run into position. Grissel is going to need a lot of blocking against ranged attacks this game.



Long Riders try to engage Annysa and the Striders, but fall short of catching the Deathstrider. the rest of the unit positions so as to create a zone of no shooting so that the Legion of Everblight cavalry solo doesn't have a safe place to shoot from.

Annyssa gets close and starts taking out Warriors.



The Raptors that can fire at the Kriel Warriors as well, trying to eliminate the unit and remove Grissel's screen.



However, they only manage to eliminate half the unit.



Lylyth then steps up and tries to put some hurt on, but doesn't realize that Grissel can make the Long riders ignore freestrikes with Dash. At least one of the impact attacks crits, knocking Grissel down. The rest of the Long Riders finish her off with P+S 14  Brutal charges and at least one more POW 14 impact attack.

If anything, Lylyth's shooting options were poor and her warbeasts were moving too slowly to have any effect on the battle. Forgetting Dash helped me bring the game to a close at the end.
